           Faraway, closer. Built to reawaken one of Western Australia’s most-loved holiday towns, this brand platform positions Kalbarri as the easy way to explore the best of WA. Nestled between two hills, on the Murchison River, this gorgeous little coastal town has ancient gorges, station stays, national parks, glorious sunsets, and an abundance of flora and fauna on it’s doorstep — all the best of Western Australia in one convenient location. In Kalbarri, faraway is closer than you think.

         Our ‘factory tour’ of Kalbarri revealed stunning natural vistas and the space to enjoy them one-on-one. Single-shot films were created to draw viewers into simple awe-inspiring moments to be found in this unique part of the world.

 

         Blessed with Kalbarri’s incredible locations, we were able to entice award-winning nature DOP, Michael Haluwana, away from projects with David Attenborough, James Cameron, and Richard Branson to shoot with little old us.  

 

         The Faraway, closer brand identity was inspired by the natural stripes and colours found in Kalbarri, and the cultural re-emergence of a new nostalgia — a yearning for simpler times and holidays of yesteryear. The launch campaign is designed to both drive visitation and attract investment, positioning Kalbarri as a destination, not just a detour.
